This Navratri, Fast in Healthy & Colorful Way



Navratri is around the corner! A nine-nights festival celebrated in honor of Devi Durga
These nine nights are dedicated to the nine avatars of Devi Durga. Wearing color dresses according to Navratri colors is quite popular. They are – Yellow, Green ,Gray, Orange, White, Red, Royal Blue, Pink and Purple. 

Many of us fast these nine days. Some people fast for religious reasons others do it to detoxify their bodies and cut back on unwanted calories. Life is about balance. Fasting for a long period can bring some trouble for your health.  If you fast in a healthy manner it will help to detoxify your body. Here is the healthy and colorful way of fasting with 9 color fasting foods

Day1 - Yellow
Start Day 1 with Yellow fruits like lemon, banana pears grapefruit, papaya, pineapple in your diet with Rajgeera poori and milk.
Day2 - Green
Green color fruits are very easily available. You can make cucumber Raita with Rajgeera Paratha with some green colored fruits like avocado,(Omega 3 fatty acid ) green apple, guava, kiwi fruit and lime in your  Diet this fruits full of antioxidant vitamin C
Day3- Gray
You can take some dishes like black pepper Vrat rice Khichdi, black pepper potato it’s yummy in taste Black pepper is a very good source of copper and dietary fiber, and a good source of iron, chromium, Mg, and calcium. Black pepper helpful for digestion and improve your metabolic rate
Day4 - Orange
You can eat pumpkin vegetable with Rajgeera poori and Carrot raita with orange color fruits like orange, peaches. Orange color fruits contain vitamin C and vitamin A
Day5 – White
You can take Makhana  Kheer   add some dry fruits like cashews, fig, raisins or  u can some baked potato  with  Paneer, Curd, Coconut or Coconut water, Banana, some white vegetables contribute substantial quantities of nutrients that we seem to be missing most often (also known as shortfall nutrients) .
Day6- Red
Go for Red with Tomato, sweet potato, pomegranate, strawberries, apple, cranberries, Watermelon, red grapes and cherries and water chestnut flour (singhade ka atta) paratha with beat root Raita red color vegetables and fruits contain lycopene, flavonoids, and folate
Day7 - Blue
You can include Buckwheat (kuttu atta) Paratha with curd with blue-purple color fruit like blueberries,
Grape juice, purple grape this fruits is very limited but very antioxidant rich u must include this fruits in your fasting days
Day8 - Pink
Select from Dragon fruit, rose milkshake, strawberries shake with sweet potato and Sabudana Khichadi with roasted peanut
Day 9 –Purple
You can include for purple fruits blueberries, figs, and Sweet Potato  with  Sabudana tikki and Butter milk.
Choosing a variety of different color fruits and vegetables helps your body get a complete range of nutrients. Keep hydrate yourself take lots of water, Lemon water, juices, buttermilk, lassi, and coconut water.
